Written in Hebrew, his poems have been translated into forty languages (n.b., per the Poetry Foundation). The work of thirteen translators are included in this publication, including Ted Hughes (1930-1998), "one of the outstanding British poets of his generation, [who] became a close friend of Yehuda Amichae and collaborated with him on the translation of a volume of Amichai's verse, 'Time'..."
