First edition; 7 x 5; pp. [2], 5-80; brown pictorial wraps, designed by Iakov Gnezdovskyi; small nicks to tips of spine; mild age-toning to text block; pen mark to front wrap and signature of previous owner to title page; in very good condition. A DP (displaced persons) camp publication. Leonid Mosendz (1897 - 1948), often writing under the pseudonyms Osyp Liaskovets and Rostyslav Berladnyk - author, translator, and educator; arrested by the Poles in 1921 and served time at the Kalisz internment camp; escaped to the British occupational zone in Austria in 1945. Iakov Gnezdovskyi (1915 - 1985) - famous Ukrainian-American artist, book illustrator, and graphic designer; spent 5 years in a DP camp in Germany, before immigrating to the US.
