Uncommon documentation of this landmark project, with single OCLC record located (SFMoMA).. Large commemorative certificate (16.5 x 10.75 inches), featuring a mounted facsimile of a Beuys drawing (3.5 in. square); SIGNED and dated by Wenzel Beuys in ink (18.6.1986), with red FIU hand-stamp. A retroactive certificate from Joseph Beuys' landmark 7000 Eichen action; this one commemorating the donation of one of the first wave of trees from the daughter of avant-garde gallerist Alfred Schmela. Beuys began the project at documenta 7 (1982), with his son Wenzel planting the (posthumous) 7000th oak tree during documenta 8 in 1987.
