Description
Boston and Toronto: Little, Brown and Company, 1968. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 160pp. Folio [41 cm] 1/4 brown cloth with tan cloth over boards. Publisher's brown top stain. Together with 35 loose prints [39 cm x 28 cm] and one sheet listing each title, in a portfolio sleeve of 1/4 brown cloth with tan cloth over boards. Both volumes titled in gilt on the backstrips. Prints very gently bumped at the tip of one of the corners. Housed in a brown cloth covered slipcase. Light rubbing to the extremities of the book, portfolio, and slipcase. Small soiled spot to front cover of portfolio. Cloth of slipcase periodically frayed along the edges. Slipcase also with a few minor spots of soiling. May require extra postage due to weight. Thomas Calloway Lea III (1907-2001) was an American muralist, illustrator, artist, war correspondent, novelist, and historian. Much of his art and literary output was centered around Texas, north-central Mexico, and his World War II experience in the South Pacific and Asia.
