Description
Very Good. These two orders are printed on the rectos of two adjoined leaves as folded. Versos are blank. Modest browning and wear. 31 cm. A General Court Martial had been convened on Sept. 6 at which John D. Jaques , Surgeon of the First Regiment was convicted and adjudged to be cashiered. Jaques appealed to the commander who disapproved to some portion of the conviction whereupon General Steddiford revived the court and ordered it to re-assemble and review its proceedings. We don't know why Jaques was being court martialed, why the review was ordered, or the ultimate resolution of the proceedings against Jaques.
