Description
[Baltimore]. , 1827.. A tract seeking to generate support around the candidacy of John Quincy Adams in the 1828 presidential election, published by the pro-Adams convention met in Maryland in 1827. The address principally defends Adams against the criticisms levelled at him by supporters of Andrew Jackson published by the Maryland pro-Jackson convention from earlier in the year, in particular the accusation that Adams was elected against the will of the people in 1824. The final three pages lists the attendees of the convention, organized by county. Only five copies located by OCLC. Dbd. Contemporary ownership inscription on titlepage. Some tanning and foxing. Good plus. SABIN 45291. SHOEMAKER 29895.
