George Voinovich, With friendship, respect, too - George Bush / Brent Scowcroft." George V. Voinovich (1936-2016) was the 65th Governor of Ohio (1991-1998) and a United States Senator from Ohio (1999-2011). He was a close political ally of President George H.W. Bush, who called Voinovich "a trusted and respected friend... the quintessential public servant.
