London, ca1790. Very good.. Wooden case covered in shark skin containing eight instruments. What is commonly described as an "engineer's case" because of its large size. The kit contains a 6 inch boxwood Gunter's scale (logarithmic trigonometric scales), brass protractor laid out in single degrees 0 - 180, set of long joint brass and silver metal dividers, brass leg extension, brass bow compass, two pens, and pencil holder.
