A book-length cycle of "...Poems Inspired by the Negro's Fight for Democratic Rights," authored by a young Jewish-American lawyer/poet. The book is dedicated to the memory of Franklin D. Roosevelt; the African-American composer Hall Johnson contributes a brief foreword; Eleanor Roosevelt is quoted in a blurb on front jacket panel. Uncommon in dustwrapper, especially in such nice condition.
