Edgar Boulangier (1850 - 1899), a French civil engineer, who enjoyed traveling and hunting big game. He traveled to Cambodia on an official mission in 1880 to evaluate Cambodia's natural resources, but ended up also hunting quite a bit on the journey. It includes a rare description of Angkor. Very good in red cloth with faded gilt lettering and design on spine and front cover. Gilt lettering on front board states "Institution de Madame Audousset." Marbled endpapers, full gilt edges, raised bands on spine, and engraved frontis with tissue. iIlustrated throughout with engravings. There is intermittent foxing throughout. Thick quarto. 400 pages.
