This edition has several issues, this being that of 164 pages, without the comma following "subject" on title, with page 112 complete and page 159 being part of the listing of these deceased. First published 14 November, 1793, then again the 23rd, the 30th and this edition the 16 January 1794. Pp. 162 [of 164, lacking final leaf listing the dead]. 1 vols. 12mo. Contemporary American mottled sheep, red gilt morocco label. Spine and edges of boards torn, free endpapers and final leaf of text removed, some browning, library perforation stamp and number stamp on dedication page, stamp also on p. 55, a few leaves loosened at gutter, signature of P. Chapman Jun.on title, else very good. Fourth edition, improved, being the first to contain the information about Marseilles and London. This edition has several issues, this being that of 164 pages, without the comma following "subject" on title, with page 112 complete and page 159 being part of the listing of these deceased. Carey's "graphic account of the great yellow fever epidemic of Philadelphia in 1793. He gave a good clinical description of the disease, mentioning the efficacy and the failure of many forms of treatment" (G & M). It was intended to present facts and observations to satisfy the worried inhabitants.
