Description
London: Jonathan Cape, 1986. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo., 192pp. Beautiful First Edition of the fifth James Bond book written by Gardner and by far the most uncommon. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. A few scattered spots on the top edge of the text block but quite minor. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, (£8.95 net), has a tiny closed tear at the crown. Some discoloration/rubbing to the photo of Gardner on the rear panel but some of it almost looks like a printing issue. Still fresh and bright with no chipping or creases. A sharp collectable copy of a difficult book to find in nice condition.
