Editions des quatre chemins, Paris. Artistic director Boris Kochno Théâtre des Champs Elysées. Preface by Edward James. The program include presentation text of the performances and illustrations of scenography and customs by Derain, Tchelitchew, and a full page reproduction drawing by Caspar Neher for Les Sept Peches Capitaux performance. -Les ballets de Roland Petit. Paris 1949 Preface by Marcel Archard and Lenor Fini. A delightful little book which features twelve photographs of flooded vines in the Camargue taken in 1960. The title-page, colophon, and wrappers are written out by hand by Clergue, who also signed the rear cover. One of an edition of 500 copies.

Binding firm and decent. Fair due to the missing plates. Folio (11" x 14") in original pebbled cloth with gilt-lettering on the front cover and spine; [3-], 293 pages. With 1 (of 4) double-page and 21 (of 23) full-page lithographs, including one signed in the print by W. W. Denslow; also, with 3 steel-engraved portrait plates, a hand-colored map, and several wood-engraved text illustrations. Two of the three plates signed by Denslow are missing: "Easton Pa. In 1876. Viewed from Mt. Parnassus" and "The Lehigh University" (full-page plate). The "Quarries of Chapman Slate Company" (double-page plate) is present. Denslow is best remembered for his work in collaboration with author L. Frank Baum, especially his illustrations for THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ.
