In pen to bottom margin of mount: "Head Quarters, First Mich Veteran, Cavalry, Fort Douglas, Utah, Winter, 1865 + 6." The subjects are dressed in their Civil War uniforms. The military band is on the left. Some light moisture damage to right side affecting just under one third of the photograph. Nice mounted photograph in original period frame.
