Description
Mexico D.F.: the hotel, 1930. promotional brochure, 16p., upright self-wraps printed sepia rotogravure, stapled and folded to 10x4 inches; exterior shots and numerous interiors are shown in vignette photography flanking columns of smallpoint text. First half of the brochure touts this cosmopolitan hotel, second boasts city scenes and countryside. Laid in is single folio leaf of marigold-yellow paper printed and folded to make a 10.5x8.5 inch double flyer advertising "Lower Rates at Hotel Geneve, In effect August 1932 until further notice, New Economic Rates to meet the present world conditions. Our usual standard of service at lower prices" --this flyer folded twice again transversely to make a 3.5x8.5 inch insert. Good copies; the insert is pristine, the sepia brochure has a short split to one fold, is generally a little edgeworn along margins, is missing a small corner, and bears a 1x.5 inch sticker scar over the exterior shot (affecting the image of a small truck).
