Description
New York: Ars Brevis Foundation, 2006. Softbound. VG. CAVE. 91 loose issues. A near-complete run of this periodical from 1981-2006, as follows: Vol. 1:1, Vols. 3-4, Vol. 5:1-3; and Vols. 6-25:3. "The initial premise of Source was to create a small journal devoted to the ideal of brevity, limiting the length of the articles and the number of illustrations. Occasionally Source has brought out special issues on specific subjects or themes, which are guest-edited by a member of the board." Interestingly, the articles are limited to 2000 words, Brevity being the emphasized trait of its content. A seldom seen but important contribution to Art History and research. Scarce.

Description
New Haven: For Sale by E. Richardson, 1853. 24pp. Disbound with light but persistent foxing. Lower blank margin of page [2] has small institutional rubberstamp and withdrawal. Good+. "The Goat, Perch and Blue Flames" is the English translation of the first five words. "To the students of Yale college, this work is most respectfully inscribed, as a tribute of regard, as being the future glory of our country." The OCLC entry calls this pamphlet "A satire on the societies at Yale." It denounces with a bitter humor "the horrid monster of secrecy" which characterizes all of them. The author includes some of his poetry in order to make his point. OCLC 43864138 [1- Yale] [as of August 2015].
