Cruikshank, Robert. 8vo. 72 handcolored aquatint plates by Robert Cruikshank, except 2 by Thomas Rowlandson and 1 other by Wageman and Brightly). Also many woodcut textual illustrations and one full page woodcut at beginning of tale. Text: xxiii + 416 + xv + 399 pp. Text and plates are remarkably clean, with only some of the usual offsetting opposite plate pages. Full morocco binding tight and robust, with intricate gilded decoration on spine bright. Spine with raised bands. Only qualification is wear along edges of spine, which can benefit from touch up. Photos availalbe if serious interest.
