Very good; some chafing to the binding.. 8vo, [4], xvi, [17] - 491, [1], 4 (adverts) pp. G - M states : "Important classification of ulcers." Bell was Scotland"s leading surgeon at the close of the 18th century. This copy has N Chapman's signature on the title and front endpaper. There is an early, neat note on the pastedown stating that the book was purchased at the sale of Chapman's library. G - M #5578 citing the first edition.
