First edition; 7 x 5 1/4; pp. 1-12; stapled, lithographed wraps; illustrated with drawings; small, scattered spots of foxing to wraps; small, closed cuts to tips of spine; in about very good condition. Published in the same year sliced bread was invented in Missouri, the booklet was written by spokesperson and author for Hostess products Alice Adams Proctor. She was, in fact, a fictitious person, once described as "sort of like Betty Crocker but without a portrait." Chapters included recipes for luncheon sandwiches, fancy party sandwiches, sandwich plate dinners, etc.
