Manchester, N.H.: Hillsborough Lodge, 1851. Broadside, 4to (287 mm.); printed certificate accomplished in manuscript, engraved decorative borders by J.H. & G.W. Casilear; previous folds, else fine. Printed date 1843, certificate accomplished September 1st, 1851, certifying that "Mrs. Mary Ann Kidder, whose name is written on the margin of this Card in her own proper hand writing is the wife of one Bro. S. B. Kidder, who is a member of the Hillsborough Lodge". Signed by Kidder and 3 additional witnesses. Printed text for this membership certificate amended in manuscript to apply to the wife of a member, since women could not actually become members.
