Description
Paris: Yougoslavia, 1919. Softcover. First edition; 8 1/2 x 10 1/2; pp. 32; stapled green wraps; small loss of paper to tips of spine and lower corner; age-darkening to margins of covers with a few small spots of foxing; minor discoloration to fore-edge of first several pages (not affecting text); fading signature to front cover; pages a bit brittle along edges; very good condition. The Hague Conventions, along with the Geneva Conventions, were among the very first formal statements of uniform international laws of war and war crimes. The report, written after WWI, outlined the atrocities committed by the Bulgarians against both prisoners of war and the civilian Serbian population. The crimes included internment, torture, massacre, etc. The only copy in the trade.
