Frontisportrait in Volume I. Binding extremities rubbed, spines faded, as is usually the case. Front hinge of Volume II and back hinge of Volume I cracking, but sound. Front hinge of Volume I starting to crack, Volume I with two small stab marks to spine. Two old ownership signatures in each volume. A good, clean set. Trollope (1815-1882) wrote his autobiography in 1875 and advised his son Harry of its existence in 18787, stipulating that Harry be the editor and that it be published shortly after his death.
