Np. No binding. Near Fine. [New York]: Np, 1973. Vintage original 36 x 25" (91 x 64 cm) poster. Folded, with various creases mostly along fold lines, overall near fine. Deep Throat is a groundbreaking film, an X-rated pornographic feature which had actual characters and a semblance of a plotline, and shot on what at the time was a considerably larger than normal budget -- and the film had a huge impact. It kicked-off the period of so-called "pornography chic" in which middle class couples in droves chose to go see this film. Deep Throat had its world premiere in New York City on June 12, 1972. The film was such a success that its release continued for a very long time. The original poster used was a rather bland photographic one; by 1973 this new poster, with artwork of star Linda Lovelace, was produced while the film was still in its original release.

(ca 1932); 7 1/4 x 5; pp. [2], 3-63, [1]; off-white wraps, printed in red and black and decorated with a portrait; illustrated with a frontis photograph; text block a bit wobbly; slight repairs to tips of spine; previous owner's signature to front wrap and a bookshop label to title page; in good condition. A splendid example of Soviet propaganda, the booklet contained the testimony of a poor peasant woman from a small village, widow of a Red Army soldier Eudoxia Pazukhina, who had grown weiry of working for the kulaks and had "introduced the Party and Soviet policy into her village" by starting a collective farm.
