Thick 4to, buff wraps, text untrimmed, loose tissue guards. Wraps in poor condition (detached, worn, repaired), but text very clean & etchings sharp & crisp throughout. An account of elderly rural & urban Jews in Poland & Russia after WW I, by French brothers from their travels.

The Elements of Christian Doctrine, the Form for Confession, etc. was written by Fray Juan Cortés in 1798 in the Indian dialect most frequently spoken at the mission, with an accompanying Spanish translation.
