Shanghai: Published by The English Monthly Publishing House, printed by Kaiming Bookstore. This monthly was mainly for high school English teachers and English learners to improve their English abilities. Edited by professors at universities, the first issue was published in 1945, this group comprises 10 issues: 1948: No. 31-38; 1949: No. 43, 45. 12mo, 71 pp; paper wrappers with a few small repairs, slight tears but overall very good condition. This includes English texts selected from the writings of Pearl Buck, Carl Sandberg, A A Milne, &c. 英语月刊 《英语月刊》杂志由英语月刊社出版，开明书店印行印刷。杂志创刊于1945年上海，由大学教授编写，旨在提高国内英语教师和高中以上学生的英语能力。本组共10期，13×17.5cm，有两本书皮稍微破损缺失，其他品相非常好。

Ron Silliman's copy of his friend Larry Eigner's limited edition Tuumba selection, published by Lyn Heljinian - with Silliman's ownership signature. "When I started gathering poetry for a journal that would become TOTTEL'S in 1969, [Eigner] was one of the first writers whose work I solicited," Ron Silliman would write of his friend Larry Eigner. Silliman would go on to include Eigner in his groundbreaking anthology IN THE AMERICAN TREE, and dedicated one of his best-known poems, "For Larry Eigner, Silent" - which first appeared in 2002's BEST AMERICAN POETRY (and was later included in THE ALPHABET) - to the poet. Upon its publication in 2010, Silliman would call THE COLLECTED POEMS OF LARRY EIGNER "the most powerful & substantial book of this millennium." A nice association between these two giants of L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poetry from one of the movement's most important presses. 8.5'' x 5.5''. Publisher's original printed wrappers. [36] pages.
