Red cardstock glued wraps with print, French flaps with printing on the front section. 33 (3) pp., many prints some color. Includes essays and asrtistic contributions by Albertine Hopkins (Frontispiece), Moi (Morris) Solotaroff (Toward An American Art; and artwork), Daniel Rhody (Newsprint), Alfred Kouzel (On Henry Moore), Maynard Whitlow (Alone, My Orbit!), Alfred Kouzel (Endpiece). EXPRESSION was a Surrealist oriented or influenced, artist-run periodical puib;lished in SOuthern California in the period 1947-1948. Only 4 issues were published. It featured poetry, essays, drawings and original prints in silkscreen by a small cross-section of Southern California artists. One of the [prints has a tissue-guard.These are old-stock copies in a superb state of preservation.
