Spine of volume 1 has a small bump, extremes are worn, with general soiling to spines and boards. Gilt is dulled on spines and rubbed at relief portraits. Inch-long open tear to second endpaper and repaired 6" tear to frontispiece of volume 1. Text and illustrations are clean and fresh. A good working copy, sold as is.
