Description
Folio, newspaper, illustrated, 81-96 pp. Chips and small tears in margins, a little creasing, slight foxing, aging and browning; otherwise very good. This is a well-illustrated issue with a number of wood engravings, including a map of shipping lanes. More importantly, this issue includes a full page Thomas Nast cartoon about corruption in New York City. A second Nast cartoon has an anti-Catholic theme. A couple of illustrations focus on the effects of a New York City snowstorm.
