Basis for the 1948 movie "Joan of Arc," starring Ingrid Bergman and Jose Ferrer. The movie won two Academy Awards: one for Best Photography and one for producer Walter Wagner, who won a special Academy Award for "adding to the moral stature" of the film industry by his production. The film also received five Academy Award nominations: Hugo Friedhofer for Best Musical Score; Ingrid Bergman and Jose Ferrar for Best Actress and Actor; and nominations for Best Editing and Best Art Direction. This copy is signed by signed by Sam Wanamaker and Romney Brent, on the front endpaper, who were respectively "The Inquisitor" and "The Dauphin" in the first play production. there is also an Ingrid Bergman signature ut it does not appear to be authentic.
