London: Bradbury and Evans, 1857. First edition in book form. Very Good. Octavo (22 cm); xiv, 625 pages, and 40 engraved plates by H.K. Browne (a.k.a. Phiz). Bound in half calf over marbled boards by Adophus, New Orleans. Edges and joints rather rubbed, but strong. Engraved title page and frontispiece quite foxed, edges of all plates disolored, with occasional scattered foxing on plates. Overall a very good copy.
