Also unpaginated, about 32 pp + 8 chromolithographic illustrated plates (printed in Bavaria) depicting the process of producing bread from farm to baker, along with discussion of challenges and issues along the way, told without condescension yet so children can easily and enjoyably understand. Additional line drawings interspersed in text. This book is No. 3925 of Nister catalogue. This copy is near fine, with minor shelfwear but otherwise clean and tight. Pages are of heavy stock and so sturdy. They are toned, as per the paper chemistry made inevitable.

First edition presumed; 6 1/4 x 3 1/2; pp. 1-14, [2]; stapled beige wraps, decorated and printed in brown; minor age-toning and spotting to wraps; small crease to lower back corner; illustrated with full-page, monochromatic plates; very good condition.A charming cooking pamphlet, it was published as an advertising for Borden's Condensed Milk. It featured some unusual recipes, including Chicken Jelly and Clam Toast - for the sick and convalescing. It also contained suggestions for using the Borden's Milk by sportsmen and athletes, automobilists, and brain workers.
