Salt Lake City: The Deseret News, 1918. First Edition. 128pp. Duodecimo [19.5 cm] Red cloth with the title gilt stamped on the front board and backstrip. Near fine. David Patten Kimball (1839-1883) was the son of Heber C. Kimball and an early Mormon leader. Kimball was one of the three young men of the Sweetwater handcart rescue (1856). Later he served as President of the Bear Lake Stake in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. In 1877 he setttled in Northern Arizona where he served as first counselor in the St. Joseph stake and worked as a teamster. Flake/Draper 4622. Rare in this condition.
