Few light spots of foxing to first and last leaves, top edge a bit dusty, still a very nice, largely untrimmed copy.
Description
Stuttgard: in der Cottaischen Buchhandlung, 1819. First edition, second printing. Few light spots of foxing to first and last leaves, top edge a bit dusty, still a very nice, largely untrimmed copy.. 8vo, 556pp; handsome later three-quarter vellum and marbled boards. The first printing of Goethe's great cycle of Sufi-inspired verses is exceedingly scarce. The second printing, as here, is distinguished by corrected text on pages 7 and 9, doubled pagination of pages 399-400 and missed pagination on pages 495-496. A very appealing copy, including its famous engraved frontispiece evoking Persian calligraphy.

Description
Cino Del Duca Film. No binding. Just About Fine. Rome: Cino Del Duca Film, 1961. Vintage original 78 x 55" (200 x 140 cm) Italian four panel poster, style A. Artwork by Renato Ferrini. Linen backed, minor touch-ups along fold lines and one small mended tear in extreme blank bottom. Just about fine. Director Pier Paolo Pasolini's first feature film. Franco Citti, a non-actor who was working as a day laborer at the time, was cast because Pasolini appreciated his distinctly Roman features. In the neorealist tradition, the vast majority of the cast were also non-professional actors for whom this was their first and/or only film role. One of the few professional actors was Adriana Asti, who played a prostitute and later became a Pasolini regular. It follows the life of Vittorio "Accattone" Cataldi, a pimp living on the outskirts of Rome. The film premiered at the 22nd Venice International Film Festival, where it met with controversy over its provocative content and was later withdrawn from general release over censorship, drawing condemnation from Pasolini and others. It was nonetheless critically acclaimed and remains one of the late classics of the Italian neorealist tradition. (Wikipedia)

Description
New York: The Womans Press, 1923. First Edition. Small 8vo. 96 pp. Yellow cloth spine over decorative paper covered boards. Spine darkening; occasional spotting; else a near fine copy of the scarce first printing. “The Womans Press” established in the early 20th century as the publishing arm of the YWCA of the U.S.A, was very active in supporting the awakening and education of young women at the time in America. Quite vocal in their suffrage and temperance sympathies, the Press provided a platform for discussing women's rights, social reforms, and issues related to working women. Many of its publications addressed the broader discourse on gender equality and women's roles in society. The author of this work, Abbe Graham, was very involved with the press and served as an editor and contributing author. Between 1923 and 1942, Graham published 11 books through The Womans Press, "Ceremonials of Common Days" being her first work published, in which she celebrates the beauty found in everyday rituals and the changing seasons.
