Black buckram boards, with gilt lettering on the spine. Signed by both Richard Adams and illustrator John Lawrence on the title page. This a first edition of this delightful account of Adam's various travels in the natural environment. I simply write down what I saw or heard every day." Illustrated throughout in color and b/w by John Lawrence, who also illustrated Adam's "Watership Down." The jacket, binding and interior are all in fine condition.
