Solid text block, faint toning to gutters of endpapers, a near fine copy. Includes a frontispiece portrait of Ethel Barrymore taken by Sargent. With the original acetate dust jacket, light shelf wear, near fine. Housed in the publisher's marbled paper covered slipcase. One of 250 copies signed by the author, this copy being unnumbered. Signed by Ethel Barrymore on the loose-leaf limitation page, affixed after the half title. Ethel Barrymore (1879-1959) was an Academy Award winning actress whose career spanned six decades. Her and her brothers, Lionel and John, were all notable members of the silent film era in Hollywood.
